The Mission
Providence Network was founded in 1988 with a mission to change lives “from the inside out” through faith-based Christian transformational housing communities that help individuals and families heal from addiction, abuse, and homelessness. Our holistic programs combine clinical and case management services with peer mentoring in a supportive, home-like environment with 24/7 live-in staff. The ripple effect of this work replaces generational cycles of trauma and poverty with lives characterized by economic self-sufficiency, meaningful social connection, and spiritual wholeness.
Our Model
Our transformational model provides the services and relational support needed to sustain long-term recovery over addictions, mental health challenges, and domestic violence. We offer three FirstStep one to two-year transformational housing communities. Providence House, established in 1988, serves up to 10 men and 8 women recovering from addiction and homelessness, located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Joy House, established in 2000, serves up to 11 women and 17 children recovering from domestic violence, located in Denver. Silver Lining House, established in 2018, serves up to 13 young men recovering from addiction and homelessness, located in the historic Baker neighborhood.
We also operate three affordable housing communities that function as the NextStep of our program, offering sober-living for program graduates to pursue lasting recovery. Victory House, established in 2006, hosts as many as 43 men, women, and children, located in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood. Clausen House, established in 2011, hosts as many as 48 men, women, and children, located in Denver’s historic Curtis Park neighborhood. Gibson House, established in 2018, hosts as many as 15 single men and women, also located in Curtis Park.
24/7 Team
Our 24/7 live-in staff team is the heartbeat of our homes. Many of our staff have lived experience with homelessness and substance misuse. They thus offer relational and recovery encouragement to the men, women, and children who are newly off the streets. We are always looking for those called to live and serve in community.
